Approve or deny transactions

Learn how to approve and deny transactions from a web browser or the Next mobile app.

Next User Types: Admin, Bookkeeper


As an admin or bookkeeper, you can approve or deny transactions if your account has enabled post-transaction review.

This lesson describes how to approve and deny single or multiple transactions from a web browser or the J.P. Morgan Next mobile app.


Approve transactions from a web browser

In the Navigation Menu, select the Transactions link.

Approve or deny individual transaction

  1. To approve or deny an individual transaction, select the name of the transaction

  2. Review the details of the transaction

  3. Approve or deny the transaction:

    • To approve the transaction, select the Approve button

    • To deny the transaction, select the Deny button

Approve or deny multiple transactions

  1. To approve or deny multiple transactions, select the checkboxes for the transactions you want to update

  2. Select the Bulk Action button

  3. Approve or deny the transactions:

    • To approve all selected transactions, select the Approve button

    • To deny all selected transactions, select the Deny button


Approve transactions from the mobile app

  1. Tap the More icon.

  2. Tap the Transactions link.

Approve or deny individual transaction

  1. To approve or deny an individual transaction, tap the name of the transaction.

  2. Review the details for the transaction.

  3. To deny the transaction, tap the Deny button. To approve the transaction, tap the Approve button.

Approve or deny multiple transactions

  1. To approve or deny multiple transactions, tap and hold an individual transaction that you want to update.

  2. After the checkboxes display next to all transactions, tap the checkboxes for all transactions you want to update.

  3. Tap the Approve or Deny link.

  4. Review the details of the transactions you selected.

  5. To deny all transactions, tap the Deny button. To approve all transactions, tap the Approve button.
