Account Payments FAQ

This article contains many common questions about payments, billing cycle, and autopay in J.P. Morgan Next.

How do I find my payment due date and billing cycle?

From the Account payment Info section in the Next Dashboard, you can view your due date, billing cycle, and payment history. It's also where you can make payments to Next.

Can I pay part of my spent credit line on the due date and the rest later without incurring late fees?

No. If you have spent any money against your credit line it will become due on your next payment date. Off-cycle payments will go towards the money you have spent, but any remaining balance will still be due on your next payment date. Any balance that is not paid will incur late fees. Payments received before 4 p.m. CT will be processed that day, and refreshed credit will be available by the next business day. Payments received after 4 p.m. CT will be processed the following business day. As long as your payment is submitted on time, you will not be assessed a late fee. Funds may not be available to spend until they are posted to your account.

How do I check which bank account is being used to make payments to Next?

You can check which account is connected to make payments to Next by selecting the Settings link in the Navigation Menu and then selecting the Bank Accounts link.

How do I add more than one account to make payments?

You can add additional bank accounts from the Bank Accounts page.

Why is there a hold on my account?

If your payment has failed and your account has been placed on a temporary hold, a banner displays at the top of the screen in Next. Open the Click here link to make a payment on your account.

Until we remove the hold on your account, no one in your business can spend with their physical or virtual cards. If they attempt to spend, they will receive a decline.
